Plot Summary: At the height of WW2, a group of high-ranking German officers hatched a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, and seize power of the military command in order to end the war. The operation was codenamed “Valkyrie”, for the emergency plan that was meant to be used in case of a revolt against the Nazi government. This plan had been modified by the conspirators to ensure their success, but for various reasons the plot failed when finally carried out on 20 July 1944. This movie was pretty good to me even though knowing this attempt was an epic fail, watching it kept you guessing I would say because you wanted the “good guys” to win but ultimately lose. All the actors and actresses were amazing in the roles they were put in.
I really touched when they assassinated in the film on Bendlerblock, Bill Nighy portrays who General Friedrich Olbricht & stauffenberg…damn i must be sad on that moment
i fell asleep when i saw this movie. andd ive seen better movies about hitler.
There were so many things regarding the planning of the assasination and the conspiracy itself that went much furhter in depth in “Valkyrie”. You didn’t see as much of pretty much everything in “Stauffenberg”, and despite that it wasn’t at all as clear as “Valkyrie”. When I say everything I mean it. His personal life, the planning, the attempt itself, the previous attempt… all is better explained. filmed and overall done in this movie. “Stauffenberg” only wins on the part of being german imo.
I must admit I haven’t seen much of Valkyrie you got me on that one. I shouldn’t say too much of the movie. But I know enough of what happened to know that Stauffenberg was pretty accurate. What exactly did you miss in Stauffenberg that happened in reality?

Even with Tom Cruise, this movie is better than “Stauffenberg”. The latter almost doesn’t explain anything about the real story. Nothing in it is exciting and noting is made understood to the degree to wich it should be understood.
a couple of years ago the germans made a movie about this already. Excellent movie, so why this movie was made nobody knows, probably indeed for Cruise´s ego. Be smart, watch the german movie instead of this one. It´s called `Stauffenberg`.
I swear I made that comment in a video with two people reviewing this film where one kept going on about why the past would be of any interest to anyone. However when I found my comment again it was under this video, where it does not make sense. Must be my mistake I guess- otherwise it’s spooky.
Hitler summed up and branded races as inferior, so to sum up the entire youtube community as STUPID is a) a ‘tiny bit’ stupid and b) loosely similar to Hitlers principles

This movie was one of the most historically accurate “hollywood” movies. It’s historical leeway wasn’t that off, a few minor differences and Tom Cruise’s acting was terrible, but it was…..true to what happened more than it wasn’t.
