So what if foreigners have accents people. How many of you can speak even more than one language?
I think you’re barking up the wrong tree. The majority of the audience for this movie will be asian. I don’t think bad accents are horrible, because let’s face it my grandmother has lived in america for over 50 years and she still has one. Besides, asians have been portrayed in much harsher conditions than any other races (even more worse than black face on white guys). For example, Mickey Rooney in, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. As a Japanese-American I welcome the satire!
I can’t wait to see this movie.
Have you seen the damn movie? Notice how all the other Asian characters don’t have accents? Jimmy has a bad accent because in the context of the film he just moved from Japan.
film makers have been degrading asians for centuries, you say. i’m going to let the rest of the comment board read this and laugh at your stupidity.
Looking good!! When can I own it?
But enough of Asians being portrayed as “FOREIGNERS” with bad English accent already. Hollywood film producers doesn’t need that extra help. They’ve been degrading us for centuries even today. We as a society have become numb to it. Let’s just stick to Asian American characters !!
